Given that you've added an "obsolete" tag to mw:Extension:MakeBot, I suggest that the instructions at the bottom of m:Bureaucrat also be updated to reflect the change. I make this suggestion at m:Talk:Bureaucrat#Update instructions on how to grant bot flag?, and would appreciate your opinion since apparently it's a seldom-edited talk page!
